Stellar growth and financials had propelled it to edtech unicorn status and $3.6 billion valuation. However, a sea of sameness amongst competitors and low awareness were standing in the way of the brand being a catalyst for growth.

We crafted a brand strategy that could differentiate it from the competition, improve perception, and connect with a multi-sided marketplace of students, tutors, and educators.

The core brand idea of ‘connected coursework’ reflects Course Hero’s commitment to supporting students in their study needs, leveraging new technologies for online learning, and harnessing collective energy of students and educators everywhere. It was brought to life through a new brand personality, tone of voice guidelines, tagline, and messaging framework. The evolved strategic brand platform also set the stage for a visual identity and product design refresh.
